Scholarship Program
Every year Osso offers ten individuals $500 scholarships to help with their college expenses. We are proud to help the youth with a furtherance of their endeavors.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of Dedication, Need, and Ability. It is an award that applies toward the payment of tuition and fees. Scholarships are awarded only after the applicant has been accepted as a student in an institution of his/her learning.
There are some situations that are "run of the mill" that can be addressed with an Internal Affairs letter or other simple correspondence. On the other hand there are other situations that require a great deal more attention and intervention. While we all consider our own particular issue special to us, truth remains that there are certain issues that require a multidirectional approach by different committees in conjuction with OSSO legal staff.
To address these special issues, OSSO leadership formed the Special Issues Committee to address situations that members find themselves in which could jeopardize their careers and/or job position. Examples of issues such as these are ERC complaints, retaliation issues, employee evaluations, etc. All committee members have had experience in dealing with complex department issues and have the necessary contacts to provide a strong defense.
